NaNoWriMo asked me to contribute another piece to their blog on query letter "do's" and "don'ts." Most agencies only allow you to submit a query letter, so the query letter's importance shouldn't be underestimated. Treat your query letter like a formal business letter; know all the parts that make up a good query letter.
